About Us
This pilot program is designed to explore how artificial intelligence can enhance patient and clinician engagement.
Our shared goal is to make trusted, evidence-based information easier to access and personalize—helping both families and healthcare professionals find the guidance they need, when they need it.
What we are testing
Family Bot
A conversational tool designed for parents and caregivers of individuals with Duchenne or Becker muscular dystrophy. The Family Bot provides easy-to-understand, research-based answers about diagnosis, daily care, therapies, and long-term management—always grounded in expert-approved sources. Families can also complete surveys to receive more personalized, educational insights.
Clinician Bot
A professional-facing chatbot that supports clinicians in PPMD’s Care and Certified Centers network. The Clinician Bot generates concise, personalized summaries, checklists, and clinical reference sheets based on the clinician’s patient classification survey. It helps streamline access to up-to-date standards of care, highlighting key priorities and upcoming evaluations for each patient type.
How to participate
1. Watch the short demo video.
The video gives a quick overview of how to use the chatbots, what to expect, and how to get the most value from your session.
2. Select a bot to test and create an account.
Once you register, your login will provide access to both the Family Bot and the Clinician Bot during this pilot.
4. Use the bot to explore personalized insights.
Complete the short health survey to generate more tailored responses. Test the accuracy and robustness of responses by asking about a topic you are familiar with.
5. Provide your feedback.
After testing, share your impressions on accuracy, clarity, and usefulness by completing the Pilot Feedback Survey. Your input will help refine these tools and guide how AI can better support the Duchenne care community.
